Dear_____

Thank you for being part of the Bethel family. On (date to be determined) we are beginning our stewardship movement. We are asking that everyone please take part in our 90 Day Tithing Challenge. When everyone does their part, and this includes giving, we will become unstoppable!
Most Christians believe that giving 10% of what God has blessed them with is the biblical model that they should follow but their heads has not quite caught up with what their hearts are telling them. Many Christians who want to tithe are not sure if they can afford it or have doubts about the future. We want to challenge you to do as God told the Israelites, “Test me now in this and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing until it overflows.” (Malachi 3:10)

You might ask, “How do I start?” The first step is to give yourself wholly to God first. Pray and tell Him your fears and doubts about the future. Tell Him about your plans and how you see your financial future. Then tell Him about your desire to be obedient in your giving.
Next, plan on beginning this week. Here are four suggestions you may consider:

1. Make a list of your monthly expenses and put your giving to God at the top.
2. Set up an automatic check from your checking account. Your bank can help you.
3. Fill out three months of offering envelops and put them in your Bible
4. Set an alarm on your smart phone to give online at www.clovisbethel.org or text to give at (575)208-2704.

I want you to take God at His word. “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:10–11) Believe God will bless your obedience. Believe that through your obedience God’s kingdom will go forward. And finally, as the Kingdom goes forward, share with us your stories of blessings.
Your servant and God’s

Pastor Ed
