Angie Jean We have had a time to process the loss. Many have moved to acceptance. Others are not there yet. To everything there is a time and a season. Many times we wonder why our loved ones are taken away. We question God and that’s alright. Take comfort that Angie is with Her Lord and her wish for us is to accept Jesus and meet her inside the Pearly Gates of Heaven. We all have hobbies and diversions don’t we? We like to collect things that catch our eye. Angie had many of those and they will serve to remind us of her in the coming months. Hold on to them and cherish them. God is a collector too. He has a fondness for books. When He gave His commandments the coined them “the Book of the Law.” Many different books are mentioned in His book the Bible. Genesis, Psalms, Matthew, James, the lost book of Jasher, the book of Solomon and the book of Geologies to name a few. This month's emphasis is on becoming a better communicator from the pulpit. Not too crazy about this one as I am always trying to improve my delivery. I'm not fully on on board with the instruction on constructing the sermon. But we cannot just read or listen to things that we agree with or those that reinforce our leanings. LINK

Daily Challenges Spiritual Emphasis Month January 2019 1. Turn to Matt. 6:9-13, Read “The Lord’s Prayer,” pray it and then use it as a model for your own prayer. 2. Read Ps 46:10 then spend 10 mins in silence. 3. Serve everyone you can today. 4. Pray for your spouse or close loved one. 5. Read John 15:1-8 and ask yourself these questions: What do I like about this passage? What do I not like or understand about this passage? What does this tell me about myself? What does this tell me about God? How can I share this with? 6. Give a special offering in church today 7.
